Prize-Winning Artwork for Ocean Keeper Contest

This illustration won first place in the 2D category of the Ocean Keeper Fanart contest by Retro Style Games. This work is my exploration of the use of black and white to create contrast and dramatic effect and massive scale. I wanted to test my limits in conveying atmosphere and tension. The play of light and shadow created a special, almost disturbing dynamic.
